Recommend a php book
I have a moderate amount of experience with php. I can read it and understand what the script is doing for the most part but I wanna brush up and become a better coder since reading it and tweaking isnt exactly the same as writing from scratch.
I was thinking of getting a book on php geared towards intermediate users but I was looking to see if anyone has any suggestions - especially books that would become a better coder for vb3. Thanks |

I recommend the vBulletin files themselves.
If you are beyond the scope of index.php, pick open global.php, functions.php and if your feeling l33t, init.php You will find, as I did, some nice coding that will help you in your coding career. Want the best way of learning? Convert a (large) hack from another forum software. With the above exersises, you will learn new ways to improve your coding as you go along, and as a bonus: There's no better way of learning vB coding |
