show if a moderator has viewed a thread?
ok, here is a hack idea like no other I have EVER seen.
so, how many moderators and super moderators do you have at your site? If you are like me, quite a few! So, we all moderate the hundreds of new posts... but tell me, doesn't it seem a bit redundant that all the moderators view all the posts. talk about a waste of precious time... I mean once a post has been seen by one moderator, it doesn't need to be seen by the rest of them? Ideas for a hack, don't know.. maybe a new filed in the thread view, visible to super mods only, like a checkmark for threads viewed by a mod, and an x for not viewed by a mod... anytime there is a new post in a thread, an x is back on the thread. So, I guess this mod would detect if your super moderators have accessed the thread or not? The hack idea is cool, especially when all your mods don't all need to moderate all the same posts... .. how to put it into action is another... what do you think? or am I too late, and an idea like this already exists? if so, please direct me to it I have seen the hack that tells you who viewed the threads, but I am looking for just 'any member of a usergroup) anyway to determin this? ... no replies, nothing... boy, a lot of threads DO go unanswered... sad really |

Should be easy:
- Add a new timestamp column to the Thread table - When a User of Usergroups x,y,z views the Thread, update this column to TIMENOW - Somehow check this column upon pageview Done. |
