I have searched the forums here and can not find a thread that describes what I am trying to do. What I want is a point purchase system where people can use PayPal and purchase blocks of points (10,25,50, etc). With those points, that person can then go "shopping" for VTM downloads off my site.

These guys are running the type of point system I want to implement. I have written to the guy that coded the system and I have never received a reply.

Now, I realize VB has a paid subscription feature, but I don't think that will work in my case. I plan on creating video tutorials for several different applications. I don't want to have to create a new forum for each VTM series. (which is what I think I would have to do with the current VB system) If I could get it to work down to the thread level, then maybe I could consider it.

Has anyone seen something like this in their travels?

geekydesigns.com sells a hack where users can use paypal to purchase points. They also have the ucash hack well for said points.

What do you from there ....

Thank you, but I don't think that uCS is what I am looking for. I found that hack while doing a search of this forum. It seems to me, after reading the features list, that this is something geared more towards pushing around imaginary money. I don't see where it refers to PayPal. Additionally, they offer the hack for free... not for sale... unless you're referring to a hack which is no longer listed as a product.

Am I missing something here? :ermm:

You can buy a paypal hack for this hack from geekydesigns that just lets members buy "forum money" or others have a different paypal hack that lets members sell or buy from the site or other members.

wondering why the forum is not be posted for such a long time.

can some of you tell me how you got the paypal for the point system (uCS)?
I paid but noone replies for a license key or whatever to let me download what I paied for.

anyone knows why? do they still support the project? thank you
