my forums have been getting increasingly slow recently... so i was wondering if this was normal...
anyway i wanted some feed back on the speed of other peoples forums when displaying threads in linier mode. i've got page display times and query numbers at the bottom of my pages and i think that its quite high... for 40 posts per page i get this: "Page generated in 15.55674 seconds with 284 queries" My thought is that somewhere probably in my rpg stats hack its using an excessive ammount of queries. thus slowing it down. If this is the case, i'll rewrite it to be more efficient :P but if other people are having similar issues i'll just put it down to a universal problem.

You've ++++ed up somthing with the rpg hack.. 285 is freaking insane, anything over 40~ is, unless its some sort of page that is rarely access.
i disabled the rpg hack and dropped it to 120 queries... i can account for ~80 of them but yeah seems the rpg hack was throwing 164 queries out :s from looking at the code it throws out about 4 queries per post... whoever wrote that needs shooting.
the 80 i can also cut down... i thought numbers of that order were going to be my problem... i hate having to fix other peoples code :/
