Default How do I link announcements to my vbindex page?

Im running Vbulleting 3.0.5 and Vbindex 3.0.0 RC5

I have seen this done on other sites but Im not sure if its something I need to add in the Vbulletin Admin CP or if its a hack I need to install.

Im trying to link it to when I make a new thread in my sites News and Events Forum that it also shows up in block style similar to the way it shows up on the main page here. I only need the thread heading and the fisrt few sentences or first paragraph with a read more button that will direct them to the full thread. I Know I can install latest threads hack and I do plan on doing that but I want to get this installed or done first. But Im looking for somethign that I can let stay on the main page (Vbindex page) and leave up there for a while without it being pushed down by new threads or posts.

Exactly what Im trying to do is make anything posted in my sites News and Events Forum appear in a box exactly as shown on the link below
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...chmentid=17721

The box Im talking about is the largest one one the screen that has the title 3.0.0 RC4 Testing Release as the topic with the Read More link at the bottom.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? Like i said Im new to all of this and Im lost to as if this is a hack that needs to be installed or just something I need to do in my Admin Control panel.

I wrote a hack to do that called always show sticky to guests that does something similar at my site. But the support forums were gone last I looked. I don't know if I put it in the thread.

If there is a sticky in the news forum, it will always apprear first to guests only. We use it for an intro announcement .

Check the Motorcycle link is my sig, maybe that can help?

Yes thats what I'm looking for but my trouble is , my site is a members only site. My forums is closed to unregistered members So i would actually need it to show up to eveyone.

With my limited knowledge of this stuff I dont want to install something that I dont for sure that its going to work for exactly what I need b/c im not sure hot to uninstall and just getting to the point Im at has taken me 2 weeks and countless hours.

It was my understanding from reading Vbindex that the option was already in there. I could be wrong but that was the impression I got . I guess I need to see if someone knows for sure if its in there and if they can tell me what I have to do to set it up...THis is the point I seem to be stuck on.
