Default Help Needed please ..

I just purchased vBulletin for the first time .. I had no trouble installing it what so ever everything is running perfectly ..But .. The nature of the site I'm trying to build requires functions that only exist in PHP-Nuke .. and I have Tried vBPortal and it was no good .. there were some Mods and Add-ons that only existed in PHP-Nuke.

So I was wondering If someone would Kindly do a simple user integration between my vBulletin and PHP-Nuke So when users Register on one they automaticaly do for the other. I'm not even conserned about the login process because its all cookies..

1. Both scripts are freshly installed not used yet .. only one user on both which is ME.
2. Both share the same database.
3. I have installed vBulletin 3.0.3 and PHP-Nuke 7.5

I've seen an integration script on this site but they were for vB2 and Nuke 5.5XX which did me no good. I have no knowledge in PHP otherwise I would've done this myself .. so If someone is willing to help me It would be highly appreciated ..

Thank you in advance ..

Its been asked 100 times, and done 1 time AFAIK, and that was vBportal, and as many times as people want to tell me that script is not php / post nuke, its still based on its coding (and you wont be able to tell me otherwise).

What do you need php/post nuke for?

I'm running a Music website .. so I need a news section, downloads, reviews, content .. and I KNOW this is included in vbportal but .. there are add-ons i need such as .. NSN-multi column mod .. and the stop-shop mod and some others that only exist in PHP-nuke. plus.. the PHP-Nuke community is very popular meaning a wide veriety of mods. I've used php-nuke before and Its exactly what I need. On the other hand I dont like phpBB forums .. i think vBulliten is a wonderfull forum.

And I know this has been asked ALOT but its exactly what I need ..

Thank you

The problem with any nuke based script is 1 querys, and lots and lots of them, and security, which it has a massive lacking of.

Have you tried looking at the current portals we have for vB?

vBadvanced CMPS and vBindex

One of thoughs maybe able to provide you with what you need, and you wont need to do the messy intregration. Just an idea

I run a music site and use vbadvanced cmps, I also have most of what you are requesting built it with mods from here. With a little time and digging you shouldn't have a problem getting what you need.

I hate to say this but Zachery doesnt know what he's talking about.
Have you seen the vbportal v3 gold edition code at all ?

vbportal was written from scratch , the core , the modules , everything.
But - if you think it was based on it's coding - either come out & prove it , or just please post about things you do know about.

Zachery was correct, but only when it was vBulletin 2 & vbPortal 2 lol

Since vBulletin 3 came out vbPortal was re-writing totally and out came vbPortal 3, that is NOT nuke based.

Maybe Zac you just need to keep up todate or is this a ploy to push vbAdvanced by talking down vbPortal !?!?!?!

Someone give me the code then, and I will rereview it, I had seen it before gold and it still is very much based on the nuke systems.

This is all getting out of topic. I apologise, but I have my mind set on what I want thanks though Zachery.

So the question still remains, will someone help me integrate the users ?

Although I know nothing about PHP but .. I have an Idea on how this could be done.

Simply when a user register in one of them. Insted of the user data be inserted in one table, it sends the info to both the vBulletin user table .. and the nuke_users table .. that way the user simply register in both scripts with one simple step. If someone can help me do that I'd be greatful.

Thank you.

If you are looking to register users on both ends you will need to make some changes to how phpnuke stores its passwords along with the login system I would guess

vBulletin makes use of 2 md5's and a salt to make sure passwords are well protected, You will also need to populate tables with new rows in vB everytime someone registeres.
