Default Installing the arcade and need some help :)

What is the dif from "the forums root folder" and the "forums root directory" ?

/ where can i find the forums root "folder" ?

and when it says "Next run the installer.php from the root directory to install all of the required databases."

what should i do there?

this is the "IBpro Arcade for vb"

Start off by uploading all the files needed.

* The entire arcade folder to your forum's root directory
* The files in the admincp folder to your forum's admincp folder
* arcade.php and installer.php to your forum's root folder

Next Chmod the /arcade/ directory and all its subfolders to 0777

Next run the installer.php from the root directory to install all of the required databases.

They are the same.

http://www.yoursite.com/forums/

would be your root folder/directory.

If it told you to upload this to your forum root directory or folder, then you'll simply navigate your browser to:

http://www.yoursite.com/forums/installer.php

or, if it had you upload it to your site root directory or folder, then you'd navigate to:

http://www.yoursite.com/installer.php

Of course, you'll need to make adjustments for those URL examples to suit your site layout.

whats wrong with the IBpro arcade? is it not as good as the other one?

i had IBpro arcade for my old site *which was IBP forum*

btw thanks for help!!

i have 2 more questions

in a affiliate hack it says "Run this query" well "WHERE" do i run it? / what do i do to run it?

another part of the affiliate hack is it tells me to a "cron setup?"

here is what it says

Code:
Begin Cron Set Up
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-----------------------------------
Click Add New Scheduled Task
-----------------------------------
Title it what ever you want it be
-----------------------------------
Day of the Week,Hour,Day, and Month are you choices.
I would recommend setting hour to 23.
-----------------------------------
Log entries: No
-----------------------------------
File name: ./includes/cron/affiliate_emptyrec.php
-----------------------------------
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
End Cron Set Up
again thanks for helping be on other one

There are but a few things wrong with it - and before you get the wrong idea, I run more IPB boards than vB, simply because I feel IPB is better - it isn't optimized for vB and the games aren't as easy to find.

v3arcade runs very nicely and I have over 800 games running, using only 15 queries.

Anyway ....... on to your next question ........

That instruction list refers to work done in your vB admin control panel (the IPB ACP equivalent). Scroll down the left frame (I despise frames) until you find the Scheduled Tasks header. It is found near the bottom, unless you've really hacked up your admincp. Expand the header, if needed. Under that, you'll notice the link for Add New Scheduled Task. In there, you'll find the fields your instruction list pertains to.

And that, as they say, is that!
