allowing guests to post
Ok i want to let guests post on my forum, but want them to have to enter an email address in the reply to thread page. We used to have this function in our old YaBB forum, so it must be possible in here.
Any help would be most welcome. |

What's the point in having to enter an email if this could be just any address?
Make them have to register! |

its for a driving school forum, we feel alot more people have contributed to the forum since we removed the reg and just allowed them to post. I hate the idea of just letting anybody post but i'm paid to do a job and if thats what the MD wants.
If their is not a way of doing it then it looks as if i'll be sticking with YaBB ewwww. |

if you start up a new board, having guests be able to post is actually not even such a bad idea. but then you should make them have limitations, like they can't start new threads, just reply, and have a way lower character count limit when replying.
:surprised: but no i haven't come across such a rap for vb3. |
