Weight loss tracking

I might attempt to do this myself. I understand how to modify the templates but the one thing I am unsure of is adding a table and writing data to it from within vbulletin.

Anyways, I'd like to do something like this:

Weight Loss Tracking Mod

-User profile fields for Starting Weight, Current Weight and Goal Weight
-Display that info in their profile when someone views it
-I have a single forum where I would like to display a simple input box and submit button for everytime a user loses pounds, they can input the number there and submit it and it will be added to a running total so I can display the number in the forum like "Our community has lost a total of *number* pounds!"
