Strange request.

I have looked through the forums and have not found a hack that for me would be usefull. I need a hack that would create multiple forums of one installation so not to violate TOS.
IE http://www.sebflipper.com/?page=scripts_mfp the IPB version i guess you could call it. And im wondering if this would violate TOS?? It actualy runs off one instance of IPB i think so i figured something like this could work for the site i am creating. I do not want multiple instances of VB but i want it where different sections of my sites sorta have their own forums and cant view the other section forums. Also i dont want to give away free boards like that script does just the multi forums part for the multiple sections of my site.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, so please forgive me if this sounds like I'm trying to tell you how to suck eggs.....(you may have figured out the solution by now anyway)

Have you thought about creating a number of usergroups, e.g. Zone 1 members, Zone 2 members...etc. And then separate your existing members into these usergroups and then in forum permissions only give access to the forums in Zone 1 to Zone 1 members....only give access to forums in Zone 2 to Zone 2 members.....and so on.

So when anyone clicks on "forums" in the navbar...they will only see the forums they have permission to see.

This could be done with the usergroups & styles... it's just a matter of logical reasoning. You might need a little custom code for new registrations, but other than that I think the rest is there.

A Hack modification of that nature was prohibited by Jelsoft at some point. Not sure whats there to add
