This is probably not the correct forum, so feel free to move it if needed...

I've asked this question over at vB.com. They know the solution to my problem but won't give it to me because I haven't upgraded to Gold, so I'm posting it here.

I've created a promotion to prevent non-posters from being able to use the arcade hack I have installed, requiring 5 posts to use the arcade. Registered Users have no access to arcade, after 5 posts they are moved to additional usergroup Registered Gamers with all necessary permissions. The problem is that everybody, including those with fewer than 5 posts get promoted. If I manually go in and remove them from the promoted group, they get bounced back. I don't understand... Screenshots of my settings provided below. BTW, RC4.

I've been told as much that my strategy is wrong. I just want to know what's wrong with it. If anybody could help, it would be appreciated...

Zach, no hard feelings, eh? I guess I blew my top a little bit over at vB.com. :nervous: And yes, I will upgrade to Gold as soon as I can summon up the guts. Right now I'm just afraid I'll mess it up after I finally got everything just the way I want it.

i have the arcade installed, and honestly i just upgraded my big site the other day, not a problem at all, arcade still works (i didnt delete any arcade files).

just no ACP options atm.

The reason i mentioned about you were wrong was in the hopes youd catch your own error, ive done it my self

It is not a VB3 engine, just a parsed copy!
