completley new to setting up a board
Hi - is there a global setting to email me when ever there is a thread or post made anywhere on board or do I have to go into each and every forum created and make a setting there? I was told that I am set up as super admin.
Thanks Gordon |

Run this query: UPDATE forum SET newpostemail = 'test@example.com'
Change test@example.com to whatever email address you want emails to be sent to. |

As I said I just paid to have vBulletine do the basic install and know nothng. Well for not even knowing what "run this querry" meant or where it wasor how to do it, or if it was as an option in the admin control panel I did some browsing on the left side menu of the admincp and saw the word querry in an option of one of the menus on the left. I tried what you said in that option and it brought up a way to change what you said to chage.
Thanks To You. Ps I have no idea about queries and sql. So you did good for me. |
