Splitting a database
Is it possible to seperate a database into different databases, for example to have the search words be a seperate database all by itself? I am looking into a new host, but they only allow a max databse of 200 MB.

You'd have to put in some serious hacking, but you'd probably you're ultimately screwing up your vBulletin than fixing it.
Just clear your search words. Or try some optimizing queries, that usually relieves the cache. (you can do this through the vB3 cpanel). A max database of 200mb is quite a lot, and there has to be something you can rid of. Or, switch hosts. |
