[DECLINED] sigs
can you extend the 1000 character limit, it's a bit short as it if your sigs made up of alot of vbcode it just kills it, for example the sig i wanted to make was 427 characters with spaces but due to the vbcode was well over 1000 characters but saying that i couldn't even get to see the vbcode not good.

1000 chars limit for a maximum of 8 lines are 125 chars per line.
as we have a limit set up for ca. 80 chars per line you have 45 chars for vbcode usage per line. i think that's really enough and we won't change it. as said our rule is 80 chars per line, most of the time we're not saing anything if you exceed this limit (as you do currently) but we won't support you can far beyond our rules so, the answer is NO, 1000 chars are really enough |

in all fairness i didn't know i broke an 80 character per line rule but you yourself have broken that rules so it seems a bit hypercritical, i didn't feel i was asking for a lot, i was just asking for the ability to actually meet 1000 characters in my sig instead of it including lines of vbcode that the end user don't even see, in all fairness my sig is one requesting help and so i keep it in my sig so that someone can see it and try and help me, surely i have a point here where as a straight denial doesn't make sense, i'm just tryint get the most out of the forum.
i mean yours is over 500 characters including spaces, so it's gotta be near 1000 characters including vbcode  |

I am not hypercritical, if i'd be i would suspend your sig (and mine, too )
i just said that's within the rules but we are not so hard here, but you cannot ask for more when we already gave you the possibilitie of don't taking the rule exactly.... as for my sig it's 852 chars long including all spaces and vbcodes, so you see it's really enough |

alight got an idea, could you tell me how to access the vb code in my existing sig please as when i go to edit it i get wysiwyg and it seems a bit excessive to change my options everytime i wanna edit my sig.

for now only the mod cp would do the trick, but you cannot acces this.
as we said we won't add any hacks which are just for fun here. at least not before RC, so you ahve to change your options if you don't want to use wysiwyg, or in other words: It seems a bit excessive to write a hack for something which takes half a minute to change yourself. |

ok working on a new sig that will observe the rules
also the thing about being able to get the vbcode/raw coding from the wysiwyg editor isn't quite cosmetic, as far as i'm concerned there should be a button as standard in the WYSIWYG anyway. |

hmm, well i don't use the wysiwyg, so i can't say what should be changed there or not.
but for such ideas vbulletin.com is awaiting them ^^ |
