GD Library Generated Poll Graphs?
Would anybody be interested in such a hack? I'd rather not go into the trouble of creating instructions and such for this hack if it were not to be popular before hand.
I've already developed a method to do this, and basically graphs can be saved to a directory as JPG/PNG, and referenced later in the poll thread as the image. Graphs that can be supported include Pie, 3d Pie, Bar, 3d Bar, Line, Box and Whisker, and spider. The obvious graphs that would be best suited for polls is of course the pie or bar graph. Only downside is the JPgraph lib must be installed on the server. |

No, the built-in one is good enough.

I would never have any use for it, but it does sound like a cool hack

I have just started to look into the JpGraph..... but not for polls though.
I need it (I think - havent decided yet) for the following: members upload a file (txt or excel), a macro calculates 3 values from it, and then plott these values in the graph. Once a Month. I was hoping this "output"/graph could go in the journal hack. Must say I am still learning how to pull it off... |
