whats the best way to ban a user??

any good hacks out there to do the job?
and is there a way to show a screen telling the user that he is banned with a reason and time limit unitl his account is re-activated.!?

I have tested it on a moderator of my board...and the moderator bagging on knees to turn it off!!

i want to ban users 100%.

this hack is cool but not what i need.

Why don?t you ban the user directly?
