Default Recurring Event on Calendar

I have modified my calendar listings. I have split the public and private into two different templates. The public template has a selection for recurring dates which are based on days of the week.

This is for events that happen every saturday etc.

I have a field in the calendar_events table named recurring with
none or the day of the week eg monday

Now I am stuck displaying these events on the calendar and selecting the last 5 events combined by date and recurring day for the frontpage.

Can anyone help me here or give me an idea where to start?

Frontpage:
http://www.picturepoll.com/

Calendar:
http://www.picturepoll.com/board/calendar.php

Event Listing:
http://www.picturepoll.com/board/cal...info&eventid=5

Cheers
Jason

Recurring calendar events will be available in vb3 if you can wait a few more weeks

Besides re-occuring events, are you going to add the ability to list a calendar event that spans multiple days? Ie. Mon- Friday, or even add times into the calendar?

Almost like an outlook calendar (aka lookout)

Yes, the recurring events and multiple events with spans will be available in vB3.0. I've requested a hack for the actions in vB2.x, but ... well, I suppose we are all just waiting anxiously for 3.0.

I saw your request and would do it, but there are just too many options. Easy but tedious to code

*hehe* Is okay. I didn't mean to sound in the least bitter. Nope. If I needed/wanted it that bad, I'd get around to taking the time to learning a bit more about php and such myself and write it myself. Or, at the very least, offer to pay a real fee for it.
