Umm? So when you have downloaded and installed you boards, you delete the source files you have locally?
Personally, I keep all sources in a directory on my server that is not accessible from the web, so I have easy access to everything if I mess something up (not that it ever happens, but, err... well, you know )

My forum home was 5kb less after changing vB to use CSS Classes for fonts and not the default. However by doing that it does have its downside, you can't adjust the text size in your browser anymore.

Actually, you can disable CSS in your browser under Accesibility, so you can then adjust text size.
