Advertising?
Ok once I was told by a few people, I believe Chen and Freddie, that vbulletin.org is not a place to advertise. But I have noticed that Chen is the acception. Can anyone tell my why the rule no longer is in usage?

I'm not sure I understand...there was a rule for no advertising...and Chen is the exception...I take it he's advertised or something?

I think you'd like to mention HiveMail in chens signature?
Well as Mist said, the whole site is chens work, so i think he has the right to be excepted from some rules isn't he? |

Oh right, the link to HiveMail in his sig, well that's ok-ish, I mean he did make vb.org but since it's in conjunction with vb.com...maybe it's not such a great idea?

It is fine to advertise in your signature in the way that Chen is doing. Many people here are doing that. My site is advertised in my signature, and so are lots of other people's. The staff here stick to the rules just like everyone else.

I once had something in my sig but had it removed...odd. I guess Neo is excluded then?

Try adding it back, if it is removed again, there probably was a reason beyond advertising for it being removed. I as well as many others include their websites in the signatures, always have and have not had any problems with it.
