color dropdown fieldin custom profile

Hey,

I'm working on getting a custom titles system setup for my users. I have setup the necessary profile fields. But what i would like to do is be able to have a drop down where you would normally input the hex # manually. Like when you make a post/thread and you hit the color dropdown...only have this option in hte user profile.

I dunno if that made sense...but best example of what i want. In the normal profile there is a dropdown to select month/day of your birthday. So how could i get something like this into a custom profile field...except letting you select color not date/month

There is an excellent custom profile dropdown field hack out that is very very useful. Do a search for it.

hey thanks for the input...i did a search and found the one by mutt..with my board running on 2.2.7 and the hack not have been updated in a while...nothing happened after installing it. So is there another that does infact work for 2.2.7?

I have one that works for 2.2.8 - can't remember who it's by, may be Mutt's one.

its weird cause mutt's one needed to place changes in a file called register_customfields which i had never seen before and ended up creating it in dreamweaver blank...please if you could find out which you use i'd greatly appreciate it
