editing topics?
is there a hack that makes it so when you edit your post it edits the topic and not just the subject
couse when my members edit there posts and change the subject it doesnt update it on the thread display page |

That's not a bug, that's a feature!
If you look in your vBulletin options page in the section 'Edit Options' you'll find an option called 'Time limit on editing of thread title'. If you set this value sufficiently high you should be covered. (A value of, say, 500000 should do fine.) |

A very lame feature if you ask me. But thanks for this thread. Otherwise I would have never found that stupid option. I set mine to 999999999999999999.

if one changes the thread title days later, other users following this thread or subscribed to this thread will get confused.
For example you now receive a mail mentioning that: Logician has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - editing topics? - in the requests forum of vBulletin.org Forum. If TaP has changed it to "Please help me" in the meantime, you would not understand which thread I'm replying.. |
