if you have someone you can trust...and i mean TRUST then its safe to let them do backup's and such. me and the other main admin (2 of 3) are the only ones allowed anywhere near the database and 80% of the time its only me in there, but im on 56k, so the other main admin dose the backups, i just do the editing/crashing .
edit- i forgot to add the only reason i trust her so much is ive known her 3 years now. |

Yeh...
I am on a 56k modem too, but I will backup my boards whenever I can... Personally, I think Database access should be limited to the owner, but I am not the Owner of the board in question... Satan |

i back mine up weekly and our server dose a tape backup twice daily. the other admin backs up daily. so we are purty much covered
|

Never trust anybody else with your FTP or DB password. Not because they would deliberately cause harm, but because they may stuff things up by accident.

The moral of this story: Trust. I myself have good friends on the internet I know if I need help with administration and my website building I can trust, because I've known these guys for awhile, but there are many people out there (98% of the world in fact) that you can't trust because of their stupidity.
