Feedback concerning vBSocial from experience
Anyone have experience with being a customer of vBSocial
and can give feedback as to their value, usefulness, trustworthiness, and reputation overall, from actual experience and not speculation, guesswork, or rumor, please? I need to know if I should become a customer of theirs and want an honest review or appraisal of some relevance, concerning genuine feedback based on actual experience with that site, their products, and the person who runs it, please. That is: vBSocial dot com , of course, not to give them an actual back link, ok...... If anyone knows where I can get stuff to do the same things, from a better source, please let me know that too. I am aware that the add-ons and mods, plug-ins, etc for vB 5 Connect are not much there now, but I have to hope they probably will be in development during the next few months? http://s1.bild.me/bilder/060112/4385591vbs1.png http://s1.bild.me/bilder/060112/6238868vbs2.jpg http://s1.bild.me/bilder/060112/4437827vbs3.png http://s1.bild.me/bilder/060112/8283653vbs4.png http://s1.bild.me/bilder/060112/8439582vbs5.png Thank you! |

Nobody has replied here yet.
There has been no feedback at all yet. I posted this over eleven days ago, and this has over 90 views now. While not having any bad feedback is good. Not having any good feedback is also not good, either. --------------- Added [DATE]1424713386[/DATE] at [TIME]1424713386[/TIME] --------------- One of the members here has told me (via PM) a warning concerning said site, the products, and the person, he advised me not to buy anything from them, but not more than that to go on, I cannot know very well now. I still am hoping for more meaningful replies. Like I already said, nobody saying anything bad, is good. But nobody saying anything good, is not so good, either. Thank you. |

I tested the mods from vbsocial a couple of months ago on a clean vB4.2.x with some popular mods installed (like DBTech mods).
My experience is that most of the vbsocial mods have annoying bugs that make them half working or not working at all. It interferes with other mods installed (even different vbsocial mods interfere with eachother) and interferes with the standard styles, so you need to have the knowledge to fix that yourself because you can't trust support to help you. The extras, like vb skins/styles, were outdated. The only mod that worked well was the notification bar but still you need to alter the code to get it not interfere with other mods installed, mostly jQuery related. I would say that you need to save your money for some more reliable mods. |

Since there's basically not the same hook system in vB5 versus vB4 you won't be seeing an increase in vB5 mods released by individual coders or companies for that matter so if you're not sure where to go or what to buy, hopefully that helps you make a more well0informed decision as opposed to driving blind into the distance .
*Vote to make sure we get something better included otherwise they won't make the change here is the link - http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-10333 |
