predefined avatar collection
Hello,
I have red, that VB5 doesn't support predefined sets of avatars any more ( Admin Added Avatars ). And as I can see there is no option to add it now from AdminCP. Are there any way to trick this? My forum is a game discussion place and I want the users to have a choice of avatars belonging to the game, not only upload by themselves. Maybe there is plugin or something which will solve this problem? Thanks in advance |

There isn't now, but is there a good reason not to allow users to personalize their account with their own avatar?

I am not going to forbid uploading their own pictures. Of course they can do it.
I wanted to allow them to choose from my set, if they want to. Like alternative option of personalizing their account. As I said it is game forum and for example I could have exclusive avatars of this game from our designer. |

Generally we found very few users made use of the system, and even less administrators used it. So the feature was left off in the transition.

Typically, there would be an addon by now replacing that functionality - and I agree, this feature won't be used on many sites, so it would best be left to an addon. If only.. but we know that story, don't we?

If you have a crowbar and a sledge hammer, I can make that mod.

A fine drill and glass cutter won't work, presumably? I'm not that familiar with vB5 code
