I haven't done anything major to my forum since last August, but I was wondering if someone could give me some assistance?

I'm looking for a way to add a custom button whether that be in quick reply or next to the

It wouldn't actually do anything, but rather if I clicked it, I want it to go to another thread, or even better, go to the thread I want it to and start the user off in the Quick Reply window.

Secondly, I was wondering if there was a plug-in where an admin/moderator can have a specific thread similar to an announcement on the forum directory. I have a baseball forum, and everyday there's a game, there's a Gameday Thread that my users whom are watching the game live are posting simultaneously. Instead of having them go into the forum and then into the thread, is it possible to have it as a "Showcase" Thread so they can see it in the main directory next to the other forums without having to go into the specific forum to get to the thread. The thread would look or act like a forum but it's basically just a direct link.

Thirdly, how can I modify my forum to where URL/Hyperlinks are underlined? People are posting links and there's nothing to make it stand out or differentiate from anything else.
