moved VB to new server and having a few problems....
I moved VB to a new server and the database restored just fine...
only problem is not I am not able to log in (I'm the admin of course). everytime I try to log in the 'Password Recovery Form' and in addition when I click on a forum, I get the following error: vBulletin Message No forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster I deleted all rows out of the sessions file thinking that would help but it has not... the other thing that's kind of freaky is that when I'm on my test server it shows the people on-line that are on my live site which is hosted on a server hundreds of miles away... any ideas??? ( I did have mysql 4.0 on but switched back to 3.23 when things didn't work right our of the box) thanks in advance... |

Ask your host to enable register_globals or wait for vB 2.2.6.

thanks firefly - I'm kind of yanking my hair out right now because I've recompiled php 4 times this morning with register_globals set to on and the server refuses to do it.
phpinfo keeps telling me that they're set off. I just visted the php site and they also show how to do it through php.ini with directired that can be embedded in the apache httpd.conf file. I'll try that now. |
