Ban Message Instead of Access Message
I wanted to make new users introduce themselves in a particular forum before they could post elsewhere.
I made a new usergroup with the same permissions as Registered Users called it "Initiated Users". Then I limited the permissions of registered users to only be able to post new threads and only in an introduction forum, with no permission to post elsewhere on the site. Then I set up a usergroup promotions to promote users with 1 post to the new usergroup (that had the same permissions as "Registered Users" used to.) When a regular clicks on "Reply with Quote" on a message in a forum, they get this message: You have been banned for the following reason: No reason was specified. Date the ban will be lifted: Never . Rather than a message telling them that they don't have access because they need to post an introduction (the sufficient privileges message in other words). How can I fix this? Thanks!! Nelson www.Hobby-Machinist.com |
