Usergroup other than registered upon registration...
if that makes any sense !
I wondered if there is a hack now or could a hack be made that would automatically insert new members into a "moderated" usergroup rather than putting them into the registered group ? Something that upon completion of registration would make the "moderated" usergroup the default group. ? Make sense ? |

Turn on User Moderation in the Options screen.

if what you need to do is to moderate new users only, take firefly's advice..
if you need a approval system, that you'll approve all new members before they are granted the full membership status, I have recently applied this system in my board and testing and improving it. Maybe I can publish it here , if I can find time to translate it in English (which is not in English at the moment) |

I have a similar situation. I would like new registrations to go to a usergroup where their posts are moderated. Then using the promotion system I can upgrade them to the standard Registered Users group after a 'probation' period of x posts.
Can anybody help with how to implement this. I tried doing this the other way - Registered Users are post moderated and promoted to a Regular Posters group, but it stuffed up my vbAdvanced side of the site. |
