Questions about vb5
Does the new vb5 have an option to allow only the admin to post HTML in forum posts? I have vb4 and need it. Am wondering if this was added to 5 or not? That would be great!
Also, what are the new benefits of 5 over 4.0.8? I am not sure if I want to spend the time and money to upgrade if there aren't a lot of improvements. My forum is heavily customized so it needs to be worth the upgrade for me. Would love to get more information and hear some opinions from people who have upgraded. |

Besides allowing HTML for Admin usergroups (or any usergroups) the new "Photo Posts" feature where you can post a gallery of photos into a post or make threads just for photos is new and different.
A lot of customizing is now done via the "front end" through the page editor rather than needing to go into the back end to make all changes. It's very hard to compare VB4 to VB5 actually - they are different on some fundamental levels. Suggest you play with the VB5 demo: http://www.vbulletin.com/vb5demo |
