Not the least. But sometimes we can have varying opinions if a law was broken or not. Everything is not black and white all the time. That is why we have the courts to decide if laws have been broken or not. For instance Apple claims that its software has been copied by Google. Google disputes this and it is now for the courts to decide on the matter.
And I will repeat - Your dont have to use exactly the same code. Ideas are not patented, their implementation is. You can use different code to get similar results and that will surely not violate anyones right.
