A counple of question before I purchase license
Hello!
Would really appreciate if someone can help me to answer my concerns below before I decide to purchase vBulletin license. Mayby point me in the right direction for different block/widgets and available modifications. Gonna make it for my future guild website for Guild Wars 2. Been looking around for other good CMS/forums like PhpNuke and phpbb but most of them seem to be outdated or need to much customize to work as a gaming website, althou some of them still have some neat blocks or widgets wich is made for "gaming forums" that I wanna see if Im able to get for vBulletin: 1. Ventrilo status block/widget (CMS home)? 2. Simple reqruitment block/widget to show wich proffessions that is needed for guild (CMS home)? 3. Poll/survey block/widget (CMS home)? 4. Able to edit/add fields upon registration, wich then is added into user profile? 5. Able to add info to memberlist, such as rank or info that been added in profile? 6. Any clan/guild modification you could point me at and wich is made for vBulletin? 7. Is it easy to custimize backgrouns, icons and CSS in vBulletin? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks! |

1 & 2 I don;t know what those are.
3 - yes you can add latest poll to the CMS Widgets or Forum Sideblock 4 - Yes, built in option called "User Profile Fields." You can make them required or optional, public or private, and visible on registration or not. 5 - Yes you can also choose whether each new option is visible and searchable on the member's list 6 - I don't know of any off hand, not my thing. 7 - Fairly easy. There is a "Style Generator" that lets you pick colors with a simple WYSIWYG interface for basics. Common backgrouns and style issues are controlled by a stylevar system you can edit and preview changes with, More advanced changes can always be made via editing a dedicated "Additional.css" template via a built in template editor. Suggest you check out the Demo - you can play with all these things: https://www.vbulletin.com/admindemo.php |
