External Login, Logout & Registration scripts

Hi,

Its come to the point where I give google a break and instead try to get help from the community more directly.

I'm trying to log into vBulletin 4.1.10 using a script outside the forum's root directory. Its the typical thing whereby my website has its own registration system and I'm now trying to integrate vBulletin. The aim being to log into the website's system that will intern log you into vBulletin.

I know there have been dozens of similar threads and I feel I've read them all. I've managed to get none working.

So I'm looking for a way to login using an external script. Also a logout script. Registration, on the other hand, I've managed to do (Inspired by: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...=82836&page=11).

From doing loads of searching I dont really get why there isn't anything for v4 but loads of plugins and scripts for <=v3.

If anyone has any pointers that would be much appreciated!

Hi Ben , Definitely there is solution for your website integration with vbulletin 4 and there are plugins available there that can do this Integration.

So I have tried one plugin out of them and its name is vbulletin bridge.

I tried it and its works fine , although this plugin is designed for vb3 but it is also for vb4 , so please check it.

And tell me is it full fills your requirements.

I've finally got round to testing this plugin.. Works for me too! Thank you.

Trying to think if there's anything useful I can add.

Only small thing is whats in the plugin's install.txt file, which of course relates to vB3. Since I'm using vB4 this file > bullet point 3 relates to

- Cookie Domain rather then Site Domain, and
- Path to Save Cookie rather than 'set the path'.

At least I assume that's correct. As I said its working with those settings for me
