Show variable name instead of value... ??

Hi guys!

I recently upgraded my vBulletin version from 4.1.6 to 4.1.7

Everything went fine, but since then, I can see that in some message blocks, vBulletin shows the variable name instead of the value, example (i don't have at the present moment a real screenshot, i'm sorry):

"Message of $username has been deleted"

Instead of:

"Message of Thomas has been deleted"

Any idea why?

I think some of the phrases have been changed. If you have added translations you'll need to update them.

I got it... look:



Do you mean, the phrase variable name? for example, instead of $bloginfo[username] other thing?

I'm not 100% sure. But I meant that if you can figure out which phrase that is, then compare your translation to the original, you'll probably find that you have to make changes to your translation (probably you'll find that the original no longer contains a variable name).

Edit: For example, that phrase now says:

Thank you for your comment. Please note your comment will not be visible to other members until {1} or a blog moderator has approved it for display. You will now be taken to your comment.

and you can see that it now has {1} instead of the variable name, so you will need to make that change in your translation.

Now I have to find each one of the translated phrases that contains variable names instead of {x}.... heheheeh
