Downgrade Help
Hello guys,
I need a little help i would like to downgrade from 4.0.1 to 3.8.4 and i really don't have the old backup database and i don't care about losing current one. i wants to install everything fresh. can someone guide me on how to ??? i just can't recall how am i gonna create the first superadmin account or that's something which will be included in 3.8.4 zip folder in instructions ????? Any hlep will be appreciated. Thanks |

If you don't care about saving anything from your current database, then you should just follow the installation instructions for the version that you're installing.
BTW, I don't understand all the licensing issues, but if you're going to do a fresh install of a vb3 version, why not download and install the latest vb3 version? (I believe it's up to 3.8.7) |

well i guess i wrote 4 by mistake it suppose to be 3.8.7 thanks for the correction ... so simply follow the installation instructions and one more thing... i just have to delete current database and remove all the 4.0.1 files from my root directory correct ???

Yeah, if you're really sure you will never need anything from the current installation, then I'd just delete the database and all the vb files and start over. Deleting the old files isn't critical because the new install will overwrite anything it has to, but it's good not to have any old stuff hanging around.
