Slight .htaccess confusion
Noob question I'm sure, hopefully someone can explain it and not just link to some complicated mumbo jumbo.
http://www.armageddononline.org is the homepage I use, it's joomla. For years I have had the forums set as http://forums.armageddononline.org or alternatively http://www.armageddononline.org/forums/ Now when using those two URL's it jsut redirects me right to the homepage, unless I have http://www.armageddononline.org/forums/forum.php I have the mod rewrite on, and working ; but I still don't understand what's redirecting forums.armageddononline.org and armageddononline.org/forums straight to the home page. If someone could specify exactly how that's setup, all i want is to go back to having it how I had it for years, with those pointing right to the from page of the forums. I used the do not upload .htaccess file and whatnot, what am I overlooking that's messing me up? Thanks, Matt |

i dont think yer gettin it.
i have forums.ao.org and ao.org/forums the only way it loads is if I tack on /forum.php I just want the forums to load when people call for forums.ao.org or ao.org/forums That's it. I'm missing something really stupid, because instead, if you load the pages that way, it redirects to my main page. vBulletin iteself is installed in /forums/ I'm tired and its something really, really stupid. |
