1.) How can I resize the area of the thread icon? (the area of the blue envelop icon)

2.) I also want to delete the column of the smiley..

Please help.

1. That will resize based on the size of the images. You currently have a broken image that is sized much wider than the others. Fix that image and the column should go to the correct size - but it will not be any smaller than the widest image.
