Sidebar left right issue
I recently switched to a new theme and when setting up grids sidebars ALWAYS display on right side regardless of the left/right setting.
Please check teamotec.net to see. Other themes are available, and sidebar moves to left on all of them. Does anyone know how to fix this??? The theme I'm using has little to no support, please help!! |

Are you talking about widgets on the cms page or the sidebar on the forum page? I see no sidebar on the forum page. The cms does not use the option AdminCP > Settings > Options > forum sidebar and block settings, that is for the forum home page sidebar.

I am talking about the CMS sidebar

Ok, then what left/right setting are you talking about? The grid setting? Are you then creating a layout out of that new grid? Copy the grid here so we can see it (use html tags, please).

I'm not sure what html you want me to post so here are a few screenshots.
Here is a grid that I am using as setup in my grid manager Here is the layout manager showing that grid with the sidebar column on the left And this is the page that is displayed in my current theme This is the same page of my site as displayed by another theme The widgets do not display because I am using custom widget code that is not added to my default theme, but you can clearly see the blank space for the sidebar reserved on the left side of the screen. Something is wrong with the theme I am using that prevents it from displaying the sidebar on the left, that is what I want to fix. |

Wow, that is odd. I would check the grids (vbcms_grid_* templates) and see if they have been modified in that particular style.

Lynne, Thank you so much, this solved my issue.
The theme I am using has code in the vbcms_grid_* templates that is different from the default vb theme. I simply replaced the template code with the code from the default theme and got the results I wanted with no other noticed affects. Lynne, this is like the second or maybe third time that you have been a big help to me, thank you!! |
