Default delete all threads with CERTAIN word in URL

Hi

i need to delete all threads (~ 17 000 )with a CERTAIn word in a URL.
the word is:
"/HIGHSPEED2"

(I dont want to explain WHY because it is complicated.)

the problem is that it cant be found through vbulletin search because its a url and between bbcode..

i could find it through phpmyadmin, but i cant just delete from there because the posts that are in the threads aren't deleted too..

can anyone save me with a solution please?

If the word is in the url, isn't it there because it is in the thread title? If so, you should be able to delete it through the admincp, no?

Since I don't understand where the word comes from, I really can't even suggest a method to find the threads.

Do you have a test site? vBulletin does have a function to remove 'orphan' posts which are posts that no longer belong to any thread. So, I'm wondering if you could delete the threads via phpMyAdmin, run update thread information counters and then remove orphan posts. I think that may work, but I've never tried anything like that which is why you should try it on a test site first and see if it works.

yes seems like a risky solution but maybe the only one.
do you have maybe a testforum where you could test it quick?
i dont have one installed.

It worked just fine for me. I had a thread, threadid 205, which had three posts in it, postids 220, 222, and 223. I deleted the thread 205 from the thread table and then ran delete orphan posts and it deleted the three posts I just listed. What exactly happened when you tried this?

its complicated.

ive tried to delete 2000 threads at once and got then whitescreen. maybe thats why they arent all deleted all-

but after another search for the word there was 2k threads less! thats why i had to install backup.

/edit
ive tested it one more time with less threads 100 . all threads arent realy delete if i visit the url again it show me just the navigation bar with "thread tools" etc.. and no content just the bar.
and delete orphan threads/posts isnt working to...

i need a other solution please.

I don't know what else to suggest. As I said, it worked just fine for me. If I try to go to the old thread, it gives me a "No Thread Specified....." error which is the correct error to show. Same with trying to go to the now deleted posts.

Have you tried actually just deleting one thread as a test that only has a few posts that you have written the id down of. Then, after deleting the thread, remove orphan posts and on the screen it should say the postids it is removing. Then, check and see if they are gone from the database. Then try to view the thread in the browser window.

And it isn't ophan threads you need to run, but orphan posts. You may also have to rebuild thread information and forum information after you are done.
