help on a few issues as well as some feedback
Ok, so i am a new customer to vb software, was an admin on an older board for a few weeks before taking it over and moving it to my own system yada yada yada and upgraded it to the newest version of vb. i am having a few issues in which were noticed by some of my members as well as experienced by myself personally and some feedback on the admincp and coding issues that i found really changed when the new version of vb4 came out.
first, a few of members have noticed that when they close the forum they are auto logged out...they have cookies enabled and what not but for some reason it logs them out automatically and then they have issues logging back in. they will enter all their info, hit log in and it says that they are logged in but when the page comes up it continues to ask for login info. they click on a subforum and it says they are logged in just fine. just wondering what the issue is here and if i can fix this in anyway. a reply or a PM with a reply would be greatly appreciated. also, on the note of programming skins...this is where my feedback comes in. i have been told and noticed that you are unable to edit skins via the CSS options like in older versions. i find this a lot harder to do any coding for skins. i am slowly finding out how to do it through the edit of the skin template section but i find this takes a lot longer and can be inconvenient sometimes. just a thought to maybe re-implement the editing of skin options, colors and certain images through color coding in the Main CSS section in upcoming updates to vb software. also i am unable to figure out the coding to do drop down menus in sigs. i know i use one and some others do as well so any help with that would be awesome as well for the record i am using the forum software not the suite software thanks for reading |

My guess is you allow users to go to your site via both www.yoursite.com and just yoursite.com. If you do, make sure your cookie domain is set to (no quotes, but note the period at the beginning) ".yoursite.com".
You now use the StyleVars to set the CSS for your site. You should take a look at the Styling Articles over on vbulletin.com |

It matters if you have the cookie domain url set incorrectly.

Listen to her. Some days it seems like every other problem here is related to this www stuff.
