but as soon as i put it in ym form skin i get this

what id like is for the navigation links to be in the left collume and the forums in the right colum.

any suggestions?

then you need some work, if you want to make 2 colums (one for the forum and the other for the navigation links).

You may try to wrap the hole table forum with div classes. Something like:

.wrapper {margin: 0 auto; width: 100%; border: 0px;}

then wrap the forum code inside. Something like this:

Well, the easiest way would be for the opening div clas to be defined at the header template and the closing div at the footer for ex.
