Admin And mod adjustable points system
I've looked around and installed every, point, award and cash system I could find for vb4 but I have been unable to find something that suits my needs.
A bit of background. I am an instructor at a post secondary school attempting to adapt an experience points based grading system into my curriculum. I am try to build this around a communal VBulletin board. For the most part I haven't had any trouble till I tried to find a user points system. Everything I have found uses board achievements which on it's own is fine I can simply set the amount of points given automatically for everything to 0 however for some reason no system I have come across seems to have an option to allow a mod or admin to simply give out points to a user. The idea is simple. a user/student posts up their work on the forums and I respond by giving them experience points and feedback. They can view their experience, see it listed relative to others. and perhaps even level up but I could totally use a seperate awards system to do that also. I've found most of what I need in various mods but none allow me to directly add/give points to a user Yet Another Awards System would work great for achievements but I can't seem to modify the points at all, they can only be given through awards and making an award for each batch of xp I wanna hand out would be brutal Cash systems like uCash and kbank make it difficult to simply give users cash but could work except that I can't disable the ability for users to donate cash to each other. vbexperience could be what I need but I am unsure if there is again a way to manually hand out points and it's not yet available for vb4 Reputation is another one I tried that simply does not allow a variable amount of points to easily be applied to users and again it's more open to other users. Am I thinking to much into this. is there a mod out there for me? or is there something simple that I can do to make this work? |
