Advertising - Help why so complicated?
I've been searching and searching and can't seem to find detailed info on how to use advertising on vb4 suite. Can anyone tell me details. I've seen reference where someone says it's in the control panel but for the life of me I can't find anything that has to deal with ad banners etc. I also installed open x on my server and have no clue how to use this with vbulletin. I surely could use some help.
Thanks |

Questions regarding default vBulletin 4 should be asked on the vBulletin.com forums. See this sticky - Installation Issues / Questions or bug reports regarding default vBulletin 4.0
However, I don't think the manual has been updated yet, so I don't think you are going to get detailed instructions on how to do it in vb4. there is the vb3 documentation regarding google adsense in the manual. Most likely it hasn't changed too much. (But I have no idea since I don't use it.) As for Open X, vbulletin will have no documentation written on how to use it. You will have to check on the Open X site to see if they have documentation. |

Yes, head over to vb.com and do some searching. Lots of stuff there. But just FYI: By default, only the super admin sees several of the options on the AdminCP. They have to specifically give you permissions (in Forums and Moderators) to see those things. Sorry, I don't remember if the Advertising panel is one of them.

Videx,
That was the problem! Had to go into the config of vbulletin and add me as super moderator. Verified this when I couldn't load ad.php file. Thanks! |
