Problem with Test Forums

Hello everyone,

I recently started setting up a test forum for my site. I tried making a snapshot of it, by copying the forums and re-naming it. I also copied my database and renamed it as well.

I changed the details the config file to reflect the new database.

Anyways, when I go to the test forum any changes I make there are also made on the live forum.

Someone told me that it was a cookie problem and I should change the cookie path setting to a different one for the test forum. I changed the path setting in the test forum, but this also changes it in the live forum.

Would appreciate any help.

I would double check your config.php files and make sure they are each pointing to different databases. From what you describe, it sounds like they are pointing to the same one.

Yes I forgot to change one of the values.
