What does the Install button actually do?

it tells the creator and the rest of the people on how many boards is it installed. so if you install the hack it would really be good if you could also click on it so that way the creator can know he's making a difference. if you uninstall it then go back to the hack and click uninstall.
it's quite a neat feature |

It also allows the creator to update those who have installed the hack with updates/releases/fixes. So just one more reson to click

Very true bane. It in essence, gives the creator of the hack more give and take on who is using the hack and giving essential updates , instead of emailing each individual user. What a burden that would be

It's an awsome hack but it sux that some ppl won't participate

I agree..It would be better if more users did participate....But it does give an awesome advantage to the hack creator to accept ideas/bugs about his or her hacks... It also lets him or her manage all the users that have installed the hack...

Would it be better if the buttons read 'installed' or 'uninstalled' so new users won't think it's a way to get the hack, instead of what it's actually used for?
(does that make sense? ) |

Makes perfect sense Mark. Too much sense in fact. Prepare to be punished!
It is more work for Sin that way though, so it ain't all bad |
