Im trying to find a MOD that will embed video such as YouTube in
posts....however, most of the examples I see use the same large clunky box that takes up the entire post window. Im hoping someone can point me toward a nice custom video embed MOD that utilizes a smaller viewer window and a more sleek look. Anyone? Thanks in advance :erm: |

Yes, AME: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=202476
The video size is globally adjustable for the majority of the definitions. There's just a few that the auto size can't be used, like Game Trailers, because their videos don't actually resize when you try to make the video smaller. But that's rare. |

When I enable after install I get this: Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in [path]/includes/class_bootstrap.php(1146) : eval()'d code on line 1
Did I do something wrong. The page becomes all messed up. When I disable everything is fine. |

Modification questions need to be asked in the thread you downloaded it from. Though it should be mentioned, that is not an AME file.

I wonder if users of this MOD [or other video embed MODs] that have customized the display on their board could post a quick screencap? I would be very interested to get a visual of the capabilities and other custom displays. Thanks very much ![]() |

I managed to trip over this yesterday and it looks like exactly the type of
thing Im after.... http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/ http://www.longtailvideo.com/addons/skins however, according to their customer service: "Hi, If you can embed HTML or JavaScript into vBulletin posts, then it will work. Best Regards, -Ethan" So Im not sure if this is an effective solution or not. |

The response I received at vBulletin.com:
"I wouldn't recommend allowing users to use HTML in posts..." I understand there are security issues with this. There is a real need for an alternative to the 2 or 3 MODS that are currently in circulation. I dont really need 250 definitions. Just the standard YouTube and a handful of most common works for me. Im just after something a bit nicer. More sleek and refined. If you have a way to facilitate the use of JW Player Im all ears. :erm: |

We're actually understanding each other even though it may not seem so.
I realise AME doesnt require HTML. I also understand the vB talking points regarding not using HTML and the security issues involved in why not to do it. My point is really simple...lots of forums use AME. Thats fine. Im sure it works fine. But its a big clunky plain box in the middle of a post. Im simply seeking something thats a little more refined and attractive. JW Player fits what Im after, only it requires HTML or JAVA. |
