Change Reply title without editing the post?
Hello
Is there a way to change the reply title without editing the post? I don't want the "modified by..." to appear. Perhaps a mod around here? Thanks! Bruno |

You can get rid of the "Edited by" altogether if you wanted to, or simply put it as show "Edited By" message after a certain set time - ie: after 2,000 minutes etc.

Thanks. But that's not the problem. I want to edit the title of another user e.g. after moving the post to another thread.

You could do what I suggest in my post #2 and then put it back when you have edited the thread title, if you wish.

I think welshy's option in post #2 is the best solution.
Here's how to complete that step; Admin Control Panel -> Usergroups -> Edit Usergroup -> Go down to General Permissions -> Go down to Show edited by note on edited messages, and click "No" -> Click "save" and complete your task. Best of luck! |

Hello
Thanks for your helps. It's even easier to edit the database directly via MySqlDumpers SQL-Browser. What I was searching for is a regular solution like a hack which adds "Change Posting Title" in the Mod-Pulldown. Greetings, Bruno |
