removing a mod trashed site
I recently installed the kbank mod on my VB 3.8 forum, and when I removed it, it appeared it did not completely remove everything (When I hit remove, it came up with an error).
Then admincp stopped working, since everything was erroring (It was basically including a kbank file that wasnt around anymore, and even if I replaced the file, I would then get db errors since that file would try to make requests). Anyways, after extensive searching etc, I found it had left some reminents in the forums_datastore table (Inside options, pluginsystemadmin, forumcache, and some other rows). I tried cleaning it out as best as I could, and I got the forums working, but NON of the plugins were working, and admincp was login-able, but was throwing errors and warnings. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there some sort of DB repair script? The forums_datastore.options row stuff seems pretty random, and I was thinking maybe there are some issues with that. Thanks ahead of time!!! |

Create a support ticket with your hosting provider and tell them you need a db backup.
Which is before you uninstalled kBank, that database. |

What I would try.... I'd install the mod again and read the instructions to see if I was supposed to upload any files. Then I'd disable the plugins via the config.php file. Then I'd uninstall the mod again including removing any files I uploaded. Then I'd turn the plugins back on and see if things are working again.

I cant do a DB backup, since I have my own host, and the most recent backup is about 2 weeks old, and I cant really re-install it since admincp doesnt work? :S

Did you disable the plugins though the config.php file?
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:

Hi Lynne,
thanks for the help. I did that, but it doesnt seem to be changing the problem. Do you think we could possibly take this into a chat client, if you have time? I'd greatly appreciate it, and I'd come back and paste results for the record. When I go to admincp, it logins fine, but the left frame is throwing these error pasted below: Code:
Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in [path]/includes/adminfunctions_navpanel.php on line 167 Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in [path]/includes/adminfunctions_navpanel.php on line 167 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/adminfunctions_navpanel.php on line 170 |

You should probably put in a support ticket for this.
