Posting to forum speed issue
I have had an issue with a number of our forum members telling me (complaining actually) about the time it takes between hitting the Post/Submit button on a post and the process actually finishing.
To make it slightly more clear, a member types a post, thread or reply....then hits the submit button. In most cases, it seems to take 15-20 seconds for the darned thing to actually upload. You would thing that they were opening a page that had 10 30meg pictures on it, or something. But in most cases, all it is, is a text post. Any pics displayed on a page, post or thread are through Photobucket. My members say that page load speed does not seem to be an issue with them, just the posting time. Does anyone have an idea of a tweak or such that I could do to the board to make this post time occur more quickly? Is there a setting I can turn on or off? I have most of the "unecessary" processes turned off. Trying to make it run as lean as possible. URL is www.TruthInDetailing.com Running vB 3.7.4 PL1 Thanks in advance, Michael |
