User complaining his password isn't working
Hey guys,
A user e-mailed me saying that he cannot access my forums, it keeps telling him it's the wrong password although he thinks it's the right one. Is this a common problem? Please read what he wrote, I don't know how to help him as i'm only new to vBulletin. Quote:

Have him clear cache and cookies. Also make sure he's inputing the password exactly as shown. Passwords are case sensitive.

So is that the only thing it could be?
Is there any way I can change his password to something else for him and see if he can log in with that password? Could it be a problem with the database? Thanks |

If he's the only user having issues, I highly doubt it's a database or forum problem.

And if you need to, just go to the user's profile in ACP, and give him a new password. Then e-mail him the new password.

Check that you aren't using the same cookie name for something else in your site. I have had that problem before in the past and discovered I was using cookies with the same name in a different web application ('password') which made it impossible to log in...
