dont allow PM till minimum NO of posts?
Is there a way to set this?
I have a twit who registers, then starts hammering away with advertising to memebers till they eventually get banned, then register again and do it all over. a minimum number of posts before PM would prevent this. doable? |

Go to Usergroup Manager > Add New Usergroup
Create Usergroup Based On - Registered Usergroup > Go Give it a new name - Whatever Create Permissions Based off of Usergroup > Registered Usergroup Save Now make a Promotion (Usergroups > Promotions) Add New Usergroup - Registered Users Posts - xx Promotion Strategy - Posts Type - Primary Move to - Whatever Save Usergroup Manager - go to edit Registred Users Set it so they can't use the PM system Save Now new users with less than xx posts cannot use the PM system. |

would be great if i could set
no posts no links till x posts for any user. seems many would need it, and your solution though working, is the long way to shop. |

Do a search on "permis*" in "all mods" "titles only" and you should find some modifications that deal with advanced permissions.

hmmn, seems i can only set as can not use the pm system, not can not send pms.... but can still receive?
Or have i got this mixed up? I of course want to be able to send messages to new memebers who get warned or banned, who aren't allowed to pm. --------------- Added [DATE]1242628522[/DATE] at [TIME]1242628522[/TIME] --------------- ah, ok, i figure that moderators can send messages to people over quota so above issue not a problem..... but.... do this rule cover all new members as well as existing ones? |
